Spend your summer in the Chaumont-sur-Loire domain

For this anniversary edition, the commissioner Chantal Colleu-Dumond has prepared an exceptional program. She has invited young plastic artist like Eva Jospin and Duy Anh Nhan Duc who transfigures nature, but also major creators as the American artist Sheila Hicks for a new installation in the apartment of the Castel, or Fiona Hall who built the Australian pavilion of the Venice Biennale of 2015.

We could emphasize the comeback of Nils-Udo, with a fantastic nest, Fujiko Nakaya, with dreamlike fog, Klaus Pinter, with a quasi-cosmic sphere, Anne et Patrick Poirier, with the “archival pieces”. One could also admire Sarkis’ stained-glass.

Among the guest list of 2018, appears the Japanese artist Tanabe Chikuunsai IV, with a spectacular bamboo piece, the Brazilian Nathalie Nery, the creator of botanical buildups; and Simone Pheulpin, the creator of sculptural pieces of the immaculate tissue, evoking various natural shapes.

So much as the emphasize on the various perennial pieces of the domain, a particular tribute is also made to the deceased painter Jacques Truphémus.

You could also wander in the park of the domain, and discover the 800 garden conceived during the International garden festival, which contains abundant creative ideas and exceptional talents.
